Support Our Activities!
Our organization is dependent on donations and membership fees to support our activities to protect wildlife and promote a richer natural environment. At the moment, we are only able to support the active donation page with Japanese language. This page gives a simple explanation of the various categories available to you, but when you go to make the donation, it will need to be done using Japanese forms. There are no active links on this page to make a donation. Thank you for your understanding.

About Becoming a Regular Member of JTEF
A ‘Regular member’ is a person who has a right to vote and attends the General Assembly to participate in its decision-making. The regular membership fee is not included in a donation.
・Annual Membership Dues: 3,000 yen
・Regular members are required to participate in general meetings and exercise voting rights on decision-making of the organization.
・Members must sign the consent agreement of the JTEF Charter, and you must agree to pay the annual membership dues to join.
・Before the General Assembly, JTEF will send you the agenda and working documents that may require to be endorsed or noted at the meeting (once a year). In the case you cannot attend, you have to submit your reply about attendance. You can also opt to respond with your written vote before the due date.
・Members receive the JTEF Annual report.
・If your membership fees are not submitted within the fiscal year of the meetings, then for that fiscal year your votes are not counted. However if dues lapse, General Assembly materials can be sent upon discussion with the office manager, based on your payment of membership dues.
・The annual fee is not subject to deduction from income tax or residential taxes.
Regarding Your Donation Receipt
●For Annual Supporters & One-time donations
・ If you do not receive a receipt in the mail after more than 3 weeks, please contact the office. (Except when “receipt is unnecessary” is checked in the questionnaire)
・ Donations of 1,000 yen or less will not get a receipt delivered at all, unless especially requested by contacting the office. (In the case of credit card payment, the payment page has a comment box to specify your instructions.)
・ When we receive donations several times in the year and the amount of money exceeds 1,000 yen over the course of one calendar year, we will send receipt of all donations we received by the beginning of February the next year.
●For Monthly Supporters
・As a general rule, we will total all donations for one year from January to December, and send the receipt around the beginning of February the next year. If you need it any other time, please contact the office.
・ For donations exceeding 2,000 yen a year it’s possible to claim a tax-deduction from income tax or residential tax by final income tax. Any other authorized NPO corporation or public interest corporation including JTEF, the sum of the donations can be calculated and applied towards a tax return.
・ In addition to the full name of the person contributing, the address is also necessary for the receipt if filing for income tax return.
About The Newsletter
●This applies to those who make donations as a regular supporter, corporate supporter, or as a regular member
・ The Credit Card payment page offers a questionnaire which asks you to specify how you would like your newsletter sent to you. (If you answer the first time you make your donation, you do not need to note your answer again, unless you would like to change your answer.)
・ Download from the website
・ Please send the hard copy of the newsletter
・ By opting to download the newsletter, this reduces the amount of paper we may use for printing and reduce shipping costs, which will also decrease our ecological footprint. In turn, JTEF can use those funds directly towards project activities.
・ Also, if you select the downloading option, you can see all three reports for Tigers, Elephants and Iriomote Cats regardless of which fund you may have designated.
